Life Balance Wheel (1st English lesson of the year!!)
Heelloooo readersss!!
My first week of 4th year is wrapping up and overall it was... alright. Passed my English grammar exam yesterday, feeling good. No more worrying now!! (about the exam that is, I have so much stuff to worry about still tee hee). But enough of that.
We've met our English teacher this Wednesday! First impression - she's goated. She seems to be a very nice and smart person!! Also her pronunciation is fiiirreeee. I can't pronounce the letter "r" properly due to my speech impediment and her "r" is everything to me it's so perfect!!

First lesson was more of a psychology class than English class which was fun. We set our goals and assessed our life balance with a wheel. The results were as I predicted - I'm screwed. My so to say "best" section is Social. Everything else, um... needs work. Especially my Emotional state. I like how all aspects (except for emotional) have at least one fully or almost fully coloured section tho. It's nice, means not everything is lost and I have potential! The thing is... I'm just so used to myself and my life that even if something is wrong or needs change I don't to anything because... I guess because change is scary, you know? And improvement takes a lot of time and energy... It's easy for me to admit that yes, I struggle with managing my emotions, yes, I don't have a stable sustainable income and yes, I don't really like my body and I don't eat as much healthy food as I should do. But it's hard to actually do something about all this. But it's for my own benefit after all... I guess a good start would be to eat more greenery, find a job (done, see first blog post for more information) and... be more kind to myself? Teach says we should be taking baby steps towards our goals, and if I can make eating more vegetables and saying "I'm enough" to myself then I'll be ready to do more good things for myself... And since the most coloured part of my wheel is Social, then I'll make sure to talk about all of my struggles with close friends and ask for support! I'll review my progress in January! New year new me as they say.
Here's my wheel:
